FTP filesearch tools

If you're looking for a particular program and you don't want to waste time searching the Internet for it, check out these effective search-tools:

Atari ST FTP sites

Below follows a number of links to the Atari ST sections of various FTP sites around the globe.
These are the exact same sites as in the Atari FTP site list
If you want to learn how to use FTP (File Transfer Protocol), download my 'How to download files using FTP' document, which contains easy to understand step-by-step examples. (You don't need to understand this if you use FTP via a web-browser).

There is also lots of software to be downloaded from the various Atari WWW-archive pages.
These are not included here as they're not FTP sites in the strictest sense of the word, even though they look just the same to the user.

Please use FTP sites geographically closest to you to avoid low transfer performance and high workloads- try also to avoid using FTP during business hours of the country where the FTP server is located).
*** = Specialized or small site

FTP mirror sites

The following sites are 'copies' of popular/heavily loaded sites but with other entry points. So if you want to access, say 'atari.archive.umich.edu' from Europe, then please use a European mirror instead.
Or... if you have problems getting through even though you're in the US of A you might have better luck trying one of the US mirror sites! *** = Specialized or small site
Valid HTML 3.2!
